ADMINISTRATIVE RULES:

Applications

  1. Admittance to the pool and pool area will not be permitted unless the homeowner has completed a Registration for their family. Required information includes name, date of birth of each occupant of the home and an up-to-date photo. Because of liability issues, there can be no exceptions. Pool registration applications are approved by the volunteer Pool Committee and/or the HOA Board of Directors, and while most applications are processed quicker, please allow two business days for an application to be approved.  If there is a delay, please contact the HOA Community Manager.

  2. Adults may be asked to present a photo ID with your address for pool admittance. A photo ID that matches a utility bill for a Bell Creek residence may be used for new residents.

Checking In When Arriving & Access

  1. All patrons of the pool must wait to be checked in by a lifeguard, before entering the pool area. If a lifeguard is not immediately available, you must wait at the check-in area until a lifeguard returns.

  2. Homeowners with delinquent amounts due in their HOA dues or fees will not be allowed access to the pool until their accounts are no longer delinquent.  For more information about the status of your account, please contact the HOA Community Manager.

Rules Applying to Children

  1. All children who are not potty trained must be in swim diapers to be in the pool area.

  2. Childcare providers who do not live in the community must be registered by the homeowner as a “nanny” and approved by the Pool Committee to be admitted to the pool. They are permitted to use the pool while solely caring for children of the household only and may not attend the pool without an accompanied child. When attending as a family group, guest passes must be used.

  3. Children 12 and older are permitted to use the pool without adult supervision providing they can follow the rules at the pool and corrective direction given by the lifeguards on duty. Failure to do so may result in the loss of their privilege to access the pool without a parent and/or expulsion from the pool.

  4. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of their attendance at the pool, and no one under 12 may be dropped off without an adult.

  5. Children may be left in the supervision of another adult (18 years+), however a note to the guards must be provided if your child will be under the supervision of another Bell Creek member adult at the pool. The note must include your phone number for validation and emergencies.

Guests of Residents

  1. Temporary guests of a household (i.e. family staying for a week, house-sitters, etc.) must use guest passes and may not be registered.

  2. Pool guests must sign in with the on-duty lifeguard staff.

  3. Guest passes are discouraged during holiday weekends (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday)

  4. Registered caretakers may only check in with children in their care solely - when attending as a family group, guest passes must be used.

Parties and Clubhouse Rentals

  1. Birthday parties or other parties at the pool must receive approval from the Pool Committee and may not reserve tables ahead of time. Any events will require “first come” seating. Guests of any event at the pool who are not current residents of the pool must use the available guest passes of the homeowner hosting the event.

  2. Clubhouse renters are not permitted to use the pool during their rental. Pool patrons are not permitted in the clubhouse.  If a resident of the HOA rents the Clubhouse and intend for their party guests to use the pool, all persons (swimmers and non-swimmers) must enter the pool through the front pool gate and not the kitchen doorway.

Accidents and Inclement Weather

  1. All accidents must be reported.

  2. Pool and pool deck will be cleared in the event of thunder or lightning for a minimum of 30 minutes after the last sighting of lightning or hearing of thunder by the lifeguards, as per the pool management rules. The pool will also be cleared when rain is heavy enough to cause an unclear surface of the pool, preventing the lifeguards from seeing the bottom of the pool.

Miscellaneous

  1. Please do not move furniture around the pool deck.

  2. Please be courteous and respectful of other patrons using the pool.

  3. Failure to follow directions from the lifeguards will result in immediate expulsion from the pool for the remainder of the day.

SWIMMING RULES:

  1. Children wearing “floaties,” “water wings,” etc. must have an adult with them in the pool. No ring-style floating devices allowed for non-swimmers.

  2. One approved floatation device per swimmer and one swimmer per approved floatation device.

  3. If you or your child is ill, please do not use the pool.

  4. Please take young children for frequent restroom breaks.

  5. Children who wish to swim in water deeper than their standing depth must be able to demonstrate that they can tread water and swim across the pool in a safe manner.

  6. Only appropriate swimwear is allowed in the pool.

  7. Pool floats must be clear or have a center cutout. Noodles or small floats may be used, at the guards’ discretion. If the guards deem the situation unsafe, patrons will be asked to refrain from using said pool toys.

BEHAVIOR:

All residents are expected to be courteous of their neighbors while at the pool. This is especially important for the young adults who can use the pool without adult supervision. Any use of foul language or inappropriate behavior that is reported to the guards, will result in the offender being asked to leave for the remainder of the day. Repeat offenders will be in jeopardy of having their pool privileges revoked for the summer.

The lifeguards are to be treated with kindness and respect. In most cases, they are teenagers and should not be insulted or yelled at. If you have an issue, please speak to the lifeguards on duty. If your issue is not resolved, please call the pool management company, the number is posted on their sign at the pool, on the community website and on this page.

All reports of afterhours trespassing at the pool will be reported to the police, no exceptions.
